FS Launches D6000 Series: Open, Flexible 400G Optical Transport Platform for Metro & Edge Networks

New Castle, Delaware — May 30, 2025 — FS, a leading provider of ICT solutions, has announced the launch of its D6000 Series, a new 400G modular optical transmission platform designed to address rising network demands. This solution targets flexible DWDM metro and edge networks, focusing on unified management, open architectures, and streamlined standards to enhance flexibility, scalability, and operational efficiency. Developed independently, the D6000 Series delivers an easy-to-deploy, easy-to-maintain, and highly reliable Data Center Interconnect (DCI) solution.

An Open, Flexible OpenZR+ Solution

The D6000 Series is engineered for high capacity and low power consumption. Its foundation is a compact 1U chassis (D6000-CH1U) featuring four slots to host D6000 transponders and muxponders. Key chassis features include:

• High Capacity: Supports up to four pluggable D6000 traffic modules, delivering a maximum capacity of 6.4T and supporting services like 400GE.
• High Reliability: Incorporates redundant 1+1 hot-swappable power supplies and 3+1 hot-swappable fans (front-to-back airflow) for uninterrupted operation, system stability, improved cooling, and extended lifespan.
• Flexible Deployment: 19-inch standard rack-mounted design, compliant with data center requirements, supporting both AC and DC power inputs.
• Flexible Connectivity: Supports QSFP-DD or QSFP28 interfaces with line rates up to 400G.

Optimized for Metro & Edge Networks

The platform is optimized for flexible DWDM metro and edge network deployments. It enables seamless IP over DWDM integration using OpenZR+ and ZR/ZR+ solutions, bridging IP and optical layers. The D6000 Series prioritizes ease of use:

• Easy Deployment & Maintenance: Features intuitive management via AmpCon-T and WebGUI, visual equipment management, and automatic service configuration for plug-and-play operation, reducing learning costs and operational complexity.

Initial Launch & Future Roadmap

The initial product launch includes:

• The 1U AC/DC Chassis (D6000-CH1U)
• A Muxponder (4ME4C)
• A Transponder (4T4E4C)
  These modules currently support 400GE services.

Looking ahead, FS plans to expand the D6000 Series functionality significantly in Q2 2025 with the development of additional service cards. Future service support will encompass a wide range of speeds and protocols, including:

• Ethernet: 1GE, 10GE, 25GE, 40GE, 100GE, 400GE
• Fibre Channel: 8G, 16G, 32G FC
